I have tried to transfer my hard earned BTC cashback obtained over the past 12 months to my hardware wallet, but when I tried to scan the QR code using the Wirex App it states that the address is not compatible.
I was trying to use a Native Segwit Bitcoin account through the bech32 address format (starting btc1_ _ _ _ _) as it incurs lower network fees .
I suppose Wirex still does not support these addresses.
Could anyone confirm if there are plans in future to support these addresses?
Also, if I try to move the BTC cachback into a regular Segwit account, the fees seems to be quite considerable to me (From 0.005581 BTC, I could only move a maximum of 0.00533 BTC out, so I assume the rest will be the fees incurred… about 4.5%; which I believe to be disproportionate).
Can anyone suggest a more efficient and cost-effective way to transfer those sats out? Thanks
